Dr. Anthony Ciccarelli
Born and raised in Halifax, Dr. Anthony has been an athlete most of his life and learned early on how chiropractic can be a key factor in optimizing wellness. He's passionate about finding the underlying cause of an injury and applying an evidence-based, patient-centered approach to care — combining ART, manual therapy, clinical acupuncture, education, and exercise prescription.
Liam Toomey, AT
Liam graduated from Acadia University with a Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2023 and earned his CATA certification that same year. He has provided athletic therapy services for the East Hants Penguins Jr B, the Halifax Wanderers U21 FC, and the North American Indigenous Games. Liam takes a holistic, movement-based approach — combining manual therapy, education, and rehab.

Will I get hurt?
This is the #1 reason most people over 50 never start strength training — and we built this program specifically to prevent it. Every session is led by a chiropractor and a certified athletic therapist who teach proper form before adding load. You start with movement quality, learn modifications for your specific body, and progress at a pace that's safe for you. We've seen far more injuries from not strength training (falls, weak hips, poor balance) than from training carefully under guidance.
I haven't worked out in 20+ years. Is this really for me?
Yes — and frankly, you're who this program was built for. There is no minimum fitness level. You'll start with a 1-on-1 assessment with Dr. Anthony to understand where you are, what's holding you back, and what your goals are. From there, the group sessions are tailored to where you actually are today, not where someone thinks you should be. We have participants who hadn't done a squat in 30 years walking out comfortably squatting bodyweight after 6 weeks.
How does insurance work exactly?
Most extended health plans in Canada include chiropractic coverage — often $500–$1,500 per year. Here's how it works for this program:
- You pay the $600 upfront when you register.
- After each session, you receive a chiropractic receipt.
- You submit those receipts to your insurance for reimbursement based on your plan's coverage.

What if I miss a session?
We totally understand life happens, but because this is a small group program building progressively week over week, we're not able to offer make-up sessions. The good news is your at-home weekly program design means you can still keep moving and stay on track on days you can't make it in. We also send modifications and home exercises so you don't lose momentum between sessions.
To get the most out of the program, we recommend choosing a 6-week stretch where you can commit to both weekly sessions.
