Turning 40
for the fight.
help us hit $1M.
On my 40th birthday I'm riding 40 km, stopping every 4 km for a 40-rep fitness challenge. We're at $960,000 as Evolve Fitness — meaning $40K raised on May 26th puts us at exactly $1 million. Every dollar matched by an anonymous donor, up to $40K.
The 40 / 40 / 40 Challenge
Forty doesn't get a quiet entrance. On May 26 I'm clipping in for 40 kilometres, and every 4 km I'm pulling over to grind out 40 reps of a fitness challenge — ten stops, ten exercises, one very sore birthday boy.
"40 isn't just a number. It's the goalpost — and the doorway to a million dollars raised."
Every dollar donated is matched dollar-for-dollar by an anonymous donor, up to $40,000. If we hit our goal, our Evolve Fitness team crosses $1,000,000 raised since 2020 — funding the precision oncology tools that change outcomes for Nova Scotians.

Why I ride.
Six years ago we joined our first BMO Ride for Cancer with team Evolve Fitness. Today, we sit at $960,000 raised as a team — exactly $40,000 from a milestone that never seemed possible when we first jumped on board.
I've watched what happens at that finish line: emotion, relief, the kind of community that only forms around something this hard. It's a truly unique and memorable experience.
My mom lost her best friend to cancer and Evolve has recently lost some of its biggest supporters. Cancer touches our gym community every single day and we have many who are fighting as we speak.
So turning 40 felt like the right moment to push a little harder and do something special. And thanks to the incredible kindness of an anonymous donor, every dollar raised for my 40th birthday will be doubled — up to $40,000.
I know we can make it happen.
One ride.
One milestone.
Help me get there.
